Are North Korean drones threatening South Korea? by Katelyn McLane

Three small, sky blue, unmanned drones called UAVs that look like toy airplanes have been found in South Korea. These things had crashed, and the defense ministry thinks that they came from Pyongyang in North Korea. The UAVs had cameras in them that had captured pictures of major military installations in South Korea. Officials, however, aren't too concerned about them. They say the drones are harmless and don't have much potential to be dangerous themselves. Also, even if the pictures were to be used for future attacks, they aren't any better quality than photos from commercial satellites. Even then, South Korea has been scrambling to better secure their airspace.

I don't think these officials are making a good choice by just waving off the danger these drones hint at. There is obviously a reason that somebody has been sending them into South Korea, whether it's North Korea or another country, and the officials definitely need to investigate further into what they are being used for. I hope they find out and stop whoever is sending them soon, or there may be mny more deaths of innocents very shortly.

  1. I hope they are not being used for more than they say. My guess is, they probably are.
