Remembering Kowloon by Zoey Crummey

The Kowloon Walled City was knocked down years ago, but at it's peak 33,000 people were living crammed in one single city block. Also known as the Walled City, it was described as a "A huge monstrosity of buildings" it was quite literally a city block stacked high with skyscrapers, and followed almost no health codes whatsoever. In 1994, it was completely torn down; however, its legacy still lives on.

I think this is a very interesting idea, but I don't think I'd ever want to live in a place like that. It sounds incredibly cramped and crowded and very dirty. I don't know how all 33,000 people could fit in that space and love comfortably, or why they would even want to.
