Ellie bush current event

An 11 year old girl's hands were covered in 3rd degree burns after making homemade slime. She was making it and all of a sudden felt her hands get hot and tingly. She looked at her hands and saw that she had blisters all over them. They think this happened because she was using borax, which can be toxic, which even doctors have warned parents about.

All parents should be aware of what their child is making and what products are in it. Because slime has been a popular social media trend, she wanted to make some. It is always important to know what you are putting on your skin

  1. It's always best to take safety measures before doing any science related experiment. Do you know if she was just allergic to it or...?

  2. This is so funny to me because all the juniors at dance are obsessed with making slime and they use borax lol.

  3. I definitely think parents should know what their kid is doing and if anything they do is putting them at risk. I know that this "slime trend" on social media and at schools id pretty popular but if it takes on an affect like this, hopefully you have a second thought not doing this. Although people don't want to, you should take safety measures first
