Don't Blame Russia - Max Gaddis

http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/15/world/africa/uganda-anti-gay-bill/index.html?hpt=wo_c1

Many of you know that Russia passed strict anti-gay laws lately, and Uganda has decided to do the same, but not because they are following Russia, but because they believe gay people are sick and need to be treated with medicine. The bill isn't the first anti-gay law introduced to the continent of Africa, but they are claiming that western culture is the cause of this "epidemic" and is destroying family lifestyles and the Ugandan culture. Homosexuality is a ''taboo'' in most of Africa, and not many Africans are open with the topic, fearing for their well-being, jobs, and status. On friday, the president of Uganda declared that homosexuality was ''not a disease, but merely an abnormal behavior which may be learned through experiences in life."

This whole thing is extremely hilarious to me.
