In a recent article J.K. Rowling said that she thought that Hermione should have ended up with Harry instead of Ron, and that she only put them together because that is the way she had planned it. She also said Ron and Hermione would have had marital issues and that he never would have been able to give her what she needed. She also talks about how she had considered killing Ron.
Wow! This is kind of a shock, I'm not a huge fan of the books but it will definetely change how I read them. It's weird to think that an author does not actually think her characters should have ended up together. It's definetely interesting.

That's weird, because if that's what she wanted, why didn't it happen? the publishers?
