185 Killed Due to Clashes of Military in Nigeria by Sydney May

Sydney May

In Nigeria, there have been clashes between the military and extremists, causing harm to the people of that area. The most recent report stated that 185 people have been killed. On Sunday, an attack broke out between the two groups, in which the extremists used grenades and the soldiers fired machine guns. This fight took place Friday through Sunday in a town filled with civilians. It is said that the extremists used civilians as human shields, which is shocking and proves that this was no accident and that they knew where they were and that there were people there. This outbreak is the most harmful and deadliest incidents in this town of Boko Haram. This article was written by Haruna Umar, and was very informative. I did not sense any bias, which was nice because it gave you the facts, and nothing else. This article was probably written for the people that live around that town so that they could be warned in case they end up coming to their town also. It is so sad that things like this have to happen to innocent people when the feud has nothing to do with them. I wish that they could have been able to put the fight somewhere else, and I hope that their families and town get back to normal as soon as possible.

  3. After hearing stories like this, it makes me happy to know that we have rights and laws that protect us from such things as this. We also take advantage of that protection and forget about the people in the world who do not have this.
