Woman's death in Ireland abortion case ruled 'medical misadventure' By: Halle Van De Hey

In this article Peter Taggart and Laura Smith-Spark of CNN News write about the death of an Indian dentist after she miscarried her child this past Friday. Savita Halappanavar was 31 and 17 weeks pregnant when she died. The cause was presumed to be from septic shock. The doctors believe Halappanavar's life would have been saved if a termination would have taken place a few days before. Savita left behind her now grieving husband Praveen Halappanavar. Halappanavar's husband is very angry and said he will do anything to find out who caused this tragedy. They say the abortion could not be carried out because Ireland is a Catholic country.

I think this is absolutely terrible. No woman should be forced to keep her child because of a religion. People need to think what's best for the mother, and not necessarily the unborn baby. The baby is important, but without the mother there is no baby. I hope someone can bring comfort to her grieving husband and give him support in this troubling time.
