2 Dead in China from Undetected Bird Flu

In China, two men have recently died and a woman is in critical condition due to a new strand of avian flu for humans. The H7N9 was before only seen in bird but from these cases H7N9 can also affect humans. Symptoms of the flu are common of other strands of bird flu, which include fever, pneumonia, and trouble breathing. So far the influenza does not seem to be easily transmittable through humans. It is thought H7N9 that was already carried by wild birds then infected poultry then spread to humans. Since the flu is not highly contagious many don’t believe this virus will have any large threat against humans.
Its very important to be informed of our surroundings especially viruses that are spreading throughout an area. If H7H9 were highly dangerous there would be many precautions taken to try to stop the spread. For example, sometimes if a country has an outbreak of a disease then less outside people will travel there. This is why we should be aware of the possible diseases we can be susceptible to.
