China recently received a letter from Tim Cook the CEO of Apple. The letter included an apology to China for poor customer service. China started to complain about how bad Apple was treating them that it got published on the front page of People's Daily. Apple now insures for better customer service with a plan of increasing training for its staff and authorized resellers and also plans to improve how it handles the iphone 4 and 4s. Tim Cook also mentions how important China is in Apple development. Cook says that the plan will take sever weeks (or months) to ensure the plan.

This article was found on cnn.com and the author was Jacqui Cheng. I can tell that a Chinese man wrote this, not only because of his name but because of the point of view the article was written in. The article definetley blamed Apple but he did give credit to the CEO for appolagizing and installing a plan to fix the problem. This article is for people who are interested in global technology.
It's bad that Apple treated China so badly, but at least they apologized.
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to why it took so long for China to complain about the mistreatment. The whole Foxconn issue has been public a=for a little bit already, and they are only just now demanding change?
ReplyDeleteThis is very bold and noble of Apple.
