14-year-old Chinese golf prodigy stuns at Masters
The Masters golf tournament in Augusta Georgia is being played this weekend. The Masters is one of golf's four majors. It is the Super Bowl of golf.
This year 14 year old Guan Tianlang from China was invited to play in the tournament. He shocked the world by making the cut to play the weekend. He made the cut despite being imposed a one stroke penalty for slow play.
Guan is the first Chinese golfer in history to make the cut in the Masters. It is hard to believe that he made the cut at 14 years old, that is younger than me. It is also hard to believe because many professional golfers that have been very successful did not make the cut.

Wow it is amazing that someone about our age is able to compete with the professionals at a golf tournament.
ReplyDeleteI agree. That is so cool that someone at such a young age is so successful already.
ReplyDeleteMy family was watching the Masters this weekend, and it was very interesting to see people from all over the world and of very different ages play together.
ReplyDeleteI also agree it's so cool that someone is able to compete with the professionals.
