In China’s latest mining accident, three miners were killed in a flooded mine in Guizhou while three others were rescued after two and a half days underground. Xinhua News Agency says "They were lifted to safety from the mine in Guizhou". "They have been hospitalized in stable condition." Three other miners remain missing. The mine flooded at around 10 p.m. Friday, trapping nine miners. Rescuers on Sunday had been waiting for the water level to recede before entering the shaft. Xinhua says" police have detained eight people in the ongoing investigation."

That's terrible. At least half of the miners were saved. I wonder what caused the flood.
ReplyDeleteThis Is very sad. I wish everyone could have been rescued alive but at least not everyone was killed.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't even imagine being trapped for 60 hours..
ReplyDeleteThat really sucks.-JOSELOPEZ
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone else remember the mining incident a few years ago where about 60 miners were trapped in a coal mine of 3 weeks? This seems eerily familiar...
