Recently a prisoner, van der Sloot, has been found to have been stabbed multiple times in his stomach. This prisoner is a suspect of killing a Peruvian business student Stephany Flores and a young adult named Natalee Holloway. Some people say that he is only trying to bring attention to himself, even though is internationally well known, but rumors have been heard around the prison that other prisoners are trying to kill him because they feel he gets TOO MUCH attention. The rumor says that the prisoners are trying to get more attention on them so that they will be more noticed and will get more help being released from prison.
I think its a stupid idea that these prisoners are trying to kill this man for attention. Killing prisoner van der Sloot will do two things against their intentions: 1) Even more attention will be given to van der Sloot. 2) The prisoners will be given negative attention for murdering a man when they're already in jail, and it is highly likely that their sentence will be greatly augmented.

Actually, if you're in prison and you kill someone, you get another trial and then, like you said, their sentence can be augmented or sentenced to death.
