"Surgeon stricken with Ebola in Sierra Leone arrives in Nebraska" by Tashina A

Just when the news of Ebola outbreaks seemed to come to an end, think again. A surgeon was diagnosed with Ebola and then taken to the U.S. treatment center in Omaha, Nebraska. The article said that the patient arrived in critical condition and nurses compared his state to be as bad as Duncan. The situation was said to be an hour by hour situation due to his horrible condition. As it typically works with this disease, the public can only wait to see what happens.

I find it really unfortunate that this disease is still causing issues. At least companies like Facebook are trying to get people to donate to help pay for Ebola treatment. It's horrible that a man who was trying to help others ended up with Ebola. Overall, I still feel like more could be done.

  1. It is a shame that this disease is still a major issue. Unfortunately, according to the news, the patient died on Monday. It was too serious and too late for doctors to do much treatment.

  3. That sucks that the patient died. I hope that the surgeon's family and friends are handling the news okay. Hopefully a more effective way of treating Ebola will be developed so that it's not as much of a problem anymore. Plus the Ebola jokes are getting old! People are dying
