In Boston, earlier today, a tragedy occurred. During a marathon dedicated to the Newtown children who were murdered this year, an explosion went off, killing three people, one of which was an 8-year-old. About one hundred injuries have been reported so far. Crime experts were saying that it was "nothing less than a war zone." They told NBC that they had to improvise even with their most skilled expert experience, which is crazy to hear. Hopefully these Boston-ites get as much help as they need and that they can find out who or what caused this. This article was written by JoNel Aleccia of the NBC news staff. It was very informative, and included many quotations, which was nice because we got to hear it from the real people involved. I did not sense any bias. This article was definitely written for anybody that lives in the United States or anyone affiliated with Boston so that they can keep up with the news on the incident. I feel so horrible for all of the people in Boston today and I hope that things clear up soon enough.

This was so horrible and sad to hear about. I didn't realize the marathon was dedicated to Sandy Hook; knowing this emphasizes the bitter irony of the violence that killed and injured so many. I hope they find out who set up the bomb and why they did it.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. I really hope that they find who set the bombs off.
ReplyDeletei hope they find out who was behind this. And hold them responsible.
ReplyDeleteAs tragic and terrible situations like these are, I get so interested and want to know more and more about it. Maybe its the fear of knowing.
