Building Collapses in India Post by: Addison Norman

Building Collapses in India
Post by: Addison Norman

Recently, a building collapsed just outside of Mumbai. The collapse killed near 46 people, around 1/3 of them were children. Rescuers are continuing to search for other people. Officials are still trying to figure out what initially caused the fall down. The main reason being that the structure was made illegally. The 8-story building was made weakly and was still under construction when it fell. Also, there were people living on the first 4 floors and the 8th floor was still being built. Building an unapproved building has become a problem in major cities in India due to its escalating population.
I’m glad here in the U.S. there are many rules and regulations that have to be followed in order to build a structure. It’s is insane how fast India’s population has grown. There is 1 billion people in the country that is 1/3 the size of the U.S.. I hope India is able to support all the people and keep them safe.
