4 Year Old Boy found dead in a closed public pool
Police think that the 4 year old may have entered through a hole in the fence. It's still being investigated. The little boy was at park with his family, and by 7 pm there was a missing child's report on him. The call was made by a person who was helping search for the boy. They found the child's body around 9:30 pm at the Bear Creek Pool. The pool has been closed, and shut down for about a good 3 years now.
McIntosh has said that the investigation is still ongoing. Now I'm wondering if this is the city of Grande Prairie's fault. Could they have prevented this from happening. I think they should have been checking in on that place from time to time. Its been shut down for almost about a good 3 years now, which is plenty of time to have reconstructed the place. And better yet, why was there water still in the pool? Is anyone responsible for this? And i question where the boys parents were and he was out of sight to them.
All we can do is give condolences to the family and pray that they are okay. Rest in Peace to the little four year old, who has not even been able to experience life yet.

ReplyDeleteThis is such devastating news. Although I agree that the pool should have at least been drained since its been closed for three years. Since it closed, you would think that something would be done with it. I hope the family can recover from this tragedy and that something will be done about reconstructing the pool.
