Boys forfit a soccer game because of girls.
A faith Christian school in Arizona for fitted a soccer game because the opposing team from Foothills academy college included girls.
Dick Buckingham, the administrative leader, said the following trying to defend his case " that they are doing this on a religious perspective that guys and girls were created differently, this difference is physical, they Want to teach the boys that there honor is not in sports".
Foothill at first in the past had played one game without the girls in it after another skill had threatened to forfit, this time the team refused to play without the girls on their side. The girls said that they were proud to be on the team, and that they were happy to be included.
I think that it's great that even though they are girls they guys on their team accepted them and even stood up to the other team and refused to play without them.

I have never understood boys and their lack of respect for girls when it comes to sports..... It's degrading. But, I'm happy the girl's took a stand.
ReplyDeleteGood for the girls for standing up for themselves. I get that the guys on the other team are trying to be respectful based on their, but by refusing to play due to to girls is actually more disrespectful, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'm a feminist and all that but on average, males are sometimes stronger than females only because of the way they are built. I can understand where they coming from in that sense, but if those girls made it on that team, then they are clearly strong enough- if not stronger - to beat those boys. They shouldn't have forfeited
