On Saturday police released footage of before and after the killing of Keith Lamont. The police officer did not turn on his body camera until after shooting Keith. In 2015 the Charlotte police spent $17 million on new body cameras The person that shot Keith, Scott's criminal record emerged. "he was convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he shot and injured a man in San Antonio, Texas. He fired more than 10 rounds from a 9-millimeter pistol" "Scott was sentenced to seven years in prison for the assault and for subsequently trying to evade arrest. 1. To me, the body cameras not working is just an excuse for people not to see what actually happened. They don't want the cameras to work. How hard is it to push a button before getting out of your car.
