Noah Hirsch: Current events #5

In a Caribbean resort city on Monday the Columbia government and its largest rebel group signed a peace agreement agreeing to cease all fighting.  This means that after five decades of war between columbia and the revolutionary armed forces of Columbia they are finally done fighting.  The treaty was signed at Cartengina, Columbia where a plan was agreed on to decide how the Columbian government would move forward.

This story makes me happy because so many columbian lives were lost to this war and now it has finally ceased.  Columbia's government will also strive now that they no longer have to constantly fund a war.

  3. I'm always against war no matter what the fighting is about so I'm so glad that we took another step in the direction towards a war free world.
