Amaria Stern- Spain reveals shipwreck treasure

Spanish authoriest have uncovered invaluable treasure from  a ship that sank over 200 years ago. In 1804, with more than 500,000 silver coins, the Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes galleon sank off Portugal's coast. After a five-year dispute over who was going to claim the treasure that was actually found by a United States firm, the valuables will be put on display in a Spain's muesem of underwater archaeology. Although the findings are extremely high in worth, officials say that they will never be sold.

This article is a very informative article that gives a little insight on the many treasures of the world. It is very satisfying to know that the Spanish governement recognizes that this treasure is invaluable and should not be sold.

  2. They know they could have split it 50/50. So we could put some in are museum too. We were nice enough to tell them we found it.
