Mark Carney is the current governor of the bank of Canada but he recently got named the governor of the bank of the UK. Parliament decided this and they are very pleased with his leading of Canada so they think he'll do well . The article is by BBC. It was written very recently and the author (whoever it is) seems to agree with the decision. I didn't know much on this subject so it was kind of difficult to understand. Its written for older age groups who are interested in politics and its positive. It was written to give information. The main idea is that there's going to be a new governor of the bank of the UK and its important because it informs us on what's going on and what we should expect.

I think the interesting thing about this article is that he is the first "foreigner" to become the governor of the Bank of the UK in its 318 years of existence.
