End nears for shot boxer Hector 'Macho' Camacho- Joseph Katinas

In San Juan, Puerto Rico, the mother of Hector 'Macho' Camacho says she has decided to have doctors cut off life support of the-then world champion boxer Saturday as soon as 3 more of his sons get to see him for a final time. Although this was opposed by Camacho's eldest son, the boxer's mother, Maria Matias said it was time for doctors to disconnect the machine that have kept him alive since he was shot in the face earlier that Tuesday. "I lost my son 3 days ago. He's only alive because of that machine," Matias said. "My son is not alive. My son is alive only for who love him." The former champion's mother has the final say in the matter, but his eldest son, Hector Camacho Jr. said he wanted to keep his father alive. "He is going to fight till the end, because my father is a boxer," the son said. Though the doctors had said Camacho was clinically brain dead from the shooting, friends and relatives told The Associated press that they were still wrestling with the idea of removing him from life support. Many good friends are debating about Camacho's well-being and are praying that everything will turn out alright. I personally think this article is sad. It shows how it can be hard to do the right thing for a loved one when they don't have a voice in it. news.yahoo.com/end-nears-shot-boxer-hector-macho-camacho-064027954.html
