NBC Refuses to Apologize for Kardashian Interview During 9/11 Moment of Silence by Lysette Barrera

Last Tuesday on September 11th, a moment of silence was held for the victims of the tragedy that occurred in 2001, just like every year since then. During this time, NBC decided to air an interview with the Kardashian mom, Kris Jenner. What makes it worse is that of all things, she was talking about her decision to get breast implants, which included: "It was so important healthwise to remind women that, you know, check your expiration date."

Today says that The moment of silence "is not a tradition on our show" and hasn't been since 2006 and last year's show on the 10th anniversary. It was later pointed out that the show interviewed a 9/11 survivor, Pasquale Buzzelli, earlier in the show. NBC is not apologizing for the desision to run the Kardashian interview.

I think that this would be a different story if NBC were running something that had to do with the 2001 attacks during the moment of silence, but Kardashians? This wasn't a smart move. Nice to know we have our priorities straight?

  2. I think that NBC should apologize for not having a moment of silence. The 9/11 moment of silence is a huge thing for our nation to remember the ones that died that day.

  3. That is very disrespectful. They could have stopped during the interview to at least acknowledge 9/11. instead they were discussing breast implants. Not right!
