Razorback Cheerleader Inspires Others

A freshman at University of Arkansas is excited and motivated as a Razorback cheerleader.  Patience Beard didn't think her dream of cheering for the Razorbacks would come true, but with hard work and determination she is cheering on the team.  Patience has a disease which caused her left femur to not develop correctly and her leg was amputated at the age of 4.  She is an inspiration to everyone as she works with her zebra print prosthetic leg and completes all the flips and stunts while cheering.

Patience is an inspiration to us all!  As a dancer, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to perform with a prosthetic leg.

  1. Oh my goodness, Patience is truly an inspiration. There are few girls I know who have enough courage to do what she did and I think its really amazing.

  2. It's really awesome that people don't let disabilities like that hold them back!
