Modern day slavery is still a major issue in Asia. President Barack Obama signed the law of Trafficking Victams Protection REauthorization Act (TVPRA). There are many advocates trying to push the passage of the TVPRA all the way through. All they need are the final signatures. It will cost some money and they need to know where to get it from. The International Labor Organization says that human traffickers bring in at least $32 billion a year. The amount of money that they have should be put to good use and to support and protect. They are very close to finishing the law.
This is a great start to end modern-day slavery. I think something should have been done a little bit sooner. Im glad that Obama supports and I hope people will realize the importance of it.
