1st fatal shooting in Iceland- JULIA WOLTJEN

SUMMARY: This is the first fatal police shooting in the country of Iceland. this extremely unusual because the regular police squad does not have weapons at any time. The gun violence in Iceland is so low they don't need them to protect themselves....until now. The police where called to an apartment Monday night when a shotgun was fired inside the flat, when the police then tried to approach the gunman they were shot at. Many other options were used before armed policemen then entered the apartment and fired. The gunman was rushed to the hospital but did not make it. There were not other injuries.

ANALYSIS: It is incredible that there has never been a fatal shooting in Iceland. And I hope that the US can learn something from Icehttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/iceland/10490029/Officers-kill-gunman-in-Icelands-first-fatal-police-shooting.htmlland and it's low record of violence.

  1. That is really cool, I wonder if they low shootings because of their gun policy or simply because their population isn't very big?

  2. Why can the US be more like this? There, theres hardly any gun violence, but hear people are starting to resrict guns because of all of it.
