More Euthanasia- Amanda Maceda

This November, over 15 paediatricians sent an open letter asking the lawmakers of Belgium to remove age limit for Euthanasia. 11 years ago, Euthanasia over age 18 was decriminalized, so this bill would also make Belgium the first country to make it legal for all ages. But, their are a few rules for it when it comes to the children. First, they must have a terminal illness and be undergoing intense pain that has no treatment. Then, they must understand what Euthanasia is and the parents and medical team also have to approve of their decision. While the senate voted 50-17 in favor, many people - some being religious leaders- don't approve at all.
I think they should let all ages have the choice of Euthanasia. If their is no treatment, let them have the power to stop it for good. I also really like the rules that have to be followed for this to happen. Let the children take hold of their life instead of being forced to live. source:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-25364745
