Tourists going to space? By: Hannah Kerman

Virgin Galactic, a space company founded by the same person that founded Virgin Mobile, is thinking that in 2043, they'll have tourists in space. A press conference in the UK brought together Virgin Galactic and other space companies as they share about how they believe in the next 30 years, or sooner, they will have tourists touring the moon or simply taking a really short flight from one place to another all over the world.
I believe that this idea seems a little far fetched, but that is what people said about the computer, and look what we have now! I do believe it's possible, but i don't think it will ever become something that people will do for vacation. There are so many risks in letting people into space, and it would take so much training and there would be so many rules in place to make sure that no one dies. This would not be a normal vacation and because it takes so much, I don't think it would appeal to the people very much. Besides all of those factors, it would be crazy expensive and absolutely awful for our environment. Then again, someone else said that people would get tired of staring at a box called a television all day, but that seems to be all that people do today.

  4. Everything has a risk. If risks aren't taken, we wouldn't evolve. But no one will know whether is will have a good or bad outcome.
