Baby, its cold outside!? By: Bella Morris

This weekend was flat out amazing for north Texans. A winter storm blew through Northeast Texas. Dallas temps at 28 degrees, that being colder than Alaska, which is currently at 34 degrees, that's insane. Over 200,000 Texans lost electricity Thursday all the way to Friday due to this harsh weather. Schools were canceled (YES!!) all across the Northeast of Texas. So for students, all of our Thursday's were made. Roads are extremely dangerous to travel on, businesses, schools, churches, you name it, closed this Friday. Even though we all love this wintry wonderland, its very dangerous to be traveling in. Flights were canceled, all across the globe and people were in total panic of where they were going to go for the holidays which are soon approaching.
This day has been fun more most of us, but for others it has been tragic. Due to the icy roads there have been several accidents going from place to place. A death has been reported, a mans car spun out of control in Hockney County. News casts, saying the death was definitely related to the weather but cant report any more details other than that. I hope snow keeps falling but the icy roads clear up, its nice to have school off but too dangerous for other people to get around and its always a risky drive everywhere you go. It finally feels like winter in Texas!

  1. I'm happy about this weather, too! I heard it's supposed to be a cold winter, and it's not even technically winter until December 21. Hopefully we get some actual snow, though, instead of just ice.
