US citizens detained in North Korea- Andrew Tunell

This Saturday the US tried to convince North Korea to return the american citizen Merrill Newman. Newman is a 85 year old Korea war veteran and was detained while trying to leave after a vacation. North Korea has also detained sever other veterans because they were believed to be spies by North Korea.

I think this is crazy North Korea had no reason to keep this man the war he was involved in was over and he was just taking a vacation. North Korea is paranoid and needs to release our citizens.

  1. I think they have a right to do that. He actually voluntarily confessed to comitting war - crimes in North Korea back when he was in the military. But North Korea is paranoid and it seems they hold people alot for 'being US spies'.

  2. They shouldn't be detaining him this far after the crime, I mean if he did something wrong he should be punished not detained because he was supposedly a spy. And he's an old man on vacation I mean come on!!
