He can hear color!! CNN Lydia petree

A man by the name of Neil Harbisson was born color blind. Every little thing he saw was grey, so he never knew what any colors looked like. Since the early 2000's, he's been hearing color. He got a "third eye" which goes over his head and is an attachment to the back of his head. It sends certain waves and frequencies to his brain that is triggered by all of the different colors he sees. He would hear different frequencies for everything and everyone. He says he loves going into museums because it is like a concert hall or a market because it is like a night club to him. He began dreaming in color. Thats when he knew his attachment and his brain had connected. He started judging peoples looks by the way they sounded also. A person could look great and sound terrible and vice versa. He started dressing what sounded good to him too. He pained pictures based off of different sounds. He would paint people's portrait but not of them, but of the the way they sounded. He saw up to 360 colors and decided he wanted to hear things that weren't visible to humans. He started seeing ultraviolet waves also. He encourages people to become a cyborg too, and to stretch beyond the human eye using technology.

  5. I think it is really amazing how he can hear color and see things we can't even though we are not blind and he is. I am also interested how he started painting picture of how people sounded.

  9. That is a truly gifted guy! He has put aside the fact that he could only see everything as grey, and found a substitute for his color blindness!
