Wounded Vetern Gets Donated 'Smart Home' by Corran Nolan

Marine Cpl. Juan Dominguez lost both of his legs and his right arm in an explosion in Afghanistan.
On October 23, 2010, while serving a term in Afghanistan, Marine Cpl. Juan Domingez slid down an encampment onto a buried bomb, losing both his legs and his right arm. Two years after this traumatic experience, Cpl. Dominguez is getting a new 'smart home' paid for by Siller Tunnels and Towers Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation. Cpl. Dominguez says "I consider this organization a part of my family. They've taken great care of me, with no strings attached, and I couldn't have asked for more."

This article was written to bring to light the generous charities given to an honored member of our society. The theme of this article is that people honor and appreciate the work being done by American and allied troops in Afghanistan. Otherwise, they would not have provided the $600,000 smart home that gives him ease of access he would not have had otherwise. I believe that this article is important because of the fact that though many people have died or been wounded in the war in Afghanistan, there is still hope for those who have come back injured both mentally and physically. Cpl. Dominguez says "I would have done it all again for my country," and I believe that he means it.

Marine Cpl. Juan Dominguez will receive this home as a gift for his service to the U.S.
