At the Democratic National Convention in Tampa, Florida, on September 4, 2012, First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a powerful speech regarding her husband President Barack Obama. She did a brief review on their past lives as children, and the importance of hard work in lives. She explained her side of the story, not only as the First Lady, but also as a wife and a mother in the White House, and how President Obama did not change when he took the presidency, but he revealed more of himself. Knowing that citizens would have questions about Obama's actions, she explained why he did them and how it would affect the country. The video of her speech went viral in China and it filled twitter timelines all over the world. We should be proud of our First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Mrs. Obama gave a great speech. It is important for everyone to be educated about what is happening in our country's government. The wife of the president has good insight about the president's actions and feelings.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was very unique that she talked about what was going on with reference to all of her viewpoints: first lady, wife, and mother. It has been so inspiring to have a president and a first lady in the White House that I can be proud of. I think that it is helping how other countries view the U.S. As a young woman, it is wonderful to have Michelle Obama as a role model.

I thought the way she talked about everything thats going on as a refrence to her perspectives as a mother, first lady, and wife was great. It is so inspirational having a president and a first lady in the White House that I can look up to.
