Earlier in july, ford recalled the Escape because of a problem with the fuel line that also caused engine fires. This however affected close to 12,000 Ford Escapes. This led ford to make a radical decision and tell owners to stop driving there Escapes immediately.
Despite Ford's recent problems, Ford has developed a solution. The plant that manufactures the Escapes engines has been installing the cup plug manually. Ford's spokeswoman, Marcey Zwiebel, has said that the plant will be installing the part with the help of machines from now on.
this should eliminate the the threat of engine fires in the Escape.
The Ford Escape is one of Ford's best selling SUVs. Because of this, Ford has taken the appropriate steps to insure not only the safety of the 177000 Escapes on the road today, but all of the future Escapes that will be hitting the road this year and in the future. Ford is one of the largest car brands in the world. In a global economy where reputation is everything, it is important to create a reliable and safe product that can be enjoyed for years and years to come.

hah! thats hilarious you know ford has a lot of fire prone cars you know thats how my grandparents house went down chandler ?
ReplyDeleteWow, that seems like a huge problem! It looks like unless they can ensure that the engine fires aren't likely to happen, they might go out of business. I think with the two problems they've already had, if people don't already doubt the safety of their cars, another few might put the cr in jepordy of not selling ande waste a ton of cash. For ford, i hope they have no more problems!!
