Googles 'blacklist by Eleanor E-W

Google screens websites all over the internet all the time, and when it finds websites that it thinks are 'infected' it blocks them, or puts them on its 'blacklist'. this means people cannot access the websites that google has blocked. Unfortunately, this is becoming a problem for many small companies and business owners. Since much of todays market is based in the internet, if a companies website is down for just a few weeks it can definitely take away a lot of money they could have made.

I think that even though it is bad for the business it is worse for their websites to be infected and still be open to the public. I think Googles service is actually helpful. Like some of the people in the article said, it is important to invest in good security so your website can remain secure and on the web.

  1. I agree with your judgement. It is better that Google block sites that they think aren't safe rather than subject people to possible viruses

  2. They should just put security warnings under the links to these sites instead of blocking them.
