Three Women Held Captive for 30 Years By: Hannah Kerman

Three women were held captive for more than 30 years in an ordinary house, on an ordinary street in London. One of the women is 30 now and has appeared to have been in captivity her entire life. The people in charge are just an ordinary couple at age 67. They are currently under arrest and the police say they've never seen a case last so long. The police were contacted about this in October when a woman called saying that she had been held captive for 30 years. Getting them out required being careful and some phone calls, but eventually they were coaxed out and into safety.

I think that this is awful because what kind of a sick person captures three ladies and has them held captive for 30 years? I can imagine how long each day must have been and for the one that spent her whole life there, she never had a choice and she probably never got a formal education! We should be grateful for our school and the fact that right now most of us will hopefully never have to live like that.

  1. I agree with you, it's not even fathomable what mentality a person would have to be in to do these cruel things. It's scary how quickly someone's life can change for the worse! Sadly, it's amazing most of us have lived up to this age compared to all the people that die early on. We have great opportunities many don't get and we overlook them
