Total Solar Eclipse by Heather McKay

A rare and beautiful event occurred in Australia early Saturday morning...a total solar eclipse. This happens when the sun and moon are perfectly lined up and cross over each other. Scientists say it will not occur in this region for another 360 years. People all over Australia gathered to witness this 2 minute marvel. While most people watched on beaches or in boats, many people took flight in a hot air balloon to get a good look. This truly is was beautiful event to experience.

  1. That would've been very cool to see, but it's too bad that it won't happen again for 360 years.
