EU to solve overfishing dilema- Amanda Cervantes

Overfishing in euopean seas such as the mediterranean and the north sea has slowly reduced the number of wildlife under the water.Tomorrow on December 18 fisherie commitees will join with the EU to vote on a reform for the EU's common fisheries policy. In June, the european commission proposed fishing limits for 2013. and have shown some improvements in the Atlantic ocean where overfishing rates have dropped. This will help make fishing more profitable and restore about 43% of stocks for the next years.

  1. We all need to pitch in to help the environment by preserving wildlife. We already do enough damage by chopping down trees so we need to start building up the environment and not breaking it down. It is good that there are fishing limits and I hope that improvement continues.
