Tension In Northern Ireland by Milan Hamilton

The U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton condemned outbreaks of violence in Northern Ireland. She encouraged them to stay at peace during meetings on Friday with the leaders in Belfast. Three people were arrested on Friday and two officers were injured and some cars were set on fire. Twenty one officers total were injured during the week. On Thursday, four men were arrested after police said they made a homemade rocket that could have been used to attack a police officer's car. Violence also broke out in Belfast over a vote on flying the Union flag. Northern Ireland is the last stop of Clinton's European tour.

Although this may not have much effect on citizens right now, if the violence gets out of hand, who knows where it will go. I think that people should keep up with current events like this so that they will know what is going on in the world and at least keep watch for excessive violence such as this.
