After having surgery to remove a growth in her bladder it has been announced that the "iron lady" will have to stay in the hospital over christmas. Thatcher was Britain's only female prime minister, Thatcher served from 1979 to 1990 as leader of the Conservative Party. For being 87 she is doing quite well and the extended stay is just precautionary.

Seems like god has blessed her with more life. Its amazing how she is so old and yet still able to make it through serious surgeries. :)
