Tension seemed to be running high at the second presidential debate this year. Though there were many questions asked of the candidates, few were actually answered, especially by Donald Trump, who was particularly good at talking about the question instead of actually answering it. He also took any opportunity he had to throw insults at Hillary Clinton. The way they argued was more like bickering, and immature bickering at that. There were a few intelligent points brought up by our candidates, but not as many as hoped for whoever our future president may be. Here are some of the more memorable quotes from the debate, from Donald Trump;
"Honest Abe never lied. That’s the big difference between Abraham Lincoln and you.","We’re going to make great trade deals. We’re going to have a strong border. We’re going to bring back law and order.","We have a divided nation because of people like her. And believe me, she has tremendous hate in her heart."
And from Hillary Clinton:
"I want to be the president for all Americans, regardless of your political beliefs, where you come from, what you look like, your religion.","People like Donald who paid zero in taxes, zero for our vets, zero for our military, zero for health and education — that is wrong.","I am reminded what my friend Michelle Obama advised us all: When they go low, you go high."
This election may be remembered for a long time. The candidates provided are hard to choose between, being that both have their own major ups and downs. The people shouldn't be scared or apprehensive of a new president. If they are, then something is wrong with our candidates.
