Miles Shickman 10/24

On Tuesday, October 18, Queensland's Dreamworld Amusement Park had a serious ride malfunction. Their Thunder River Rapids ride malfunctioned, killing four people. They were two men, age 35 and 32, and two women, age 42 and 38. This led to the park being closed and the staff working with the police to determine the facts. It's scary to me that things labeled fun for the whole family can hold such dangerous potential.

  1. This is true, for even the safest of things can be deadly. It's horrible to think that they got on that ride expecting to have the time of their lives, only to realize, it was the end of their lives.

  2. Imaging trying to have a fun day with friends and family, and then end up getting killed because of something that isn't thought to be all that dangerous. I hope more safety precautions can be taken to ensure that people will be safe.
