Melanie Escalante-girl raises money for those affected by Hurricane Matthew

An 8 year old girl from Tampa, Florida starts an organization to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Matthew. Her mother was telling her about the effects the storm had and the little girl was inspired to help. She made a flyer and gained help from her mother. The two went online and set up a fundraiser page. Within the week, the page raised $1,000 and is still thriving.

Though what happened was bad, anyone can turn the situation around and help those in need. This little girl is only 8 and is already making a change. I hope more people like this will rise. "They start young" If you want to help go to Razoo where you can donate money through direct relief.

  6. If a 8 year old can raise money for a good purpose we can too. This is very genuine of her to do that
