A FedEx plane caught fire on the runway in Fort Lauderdale. The pilot and co-pilot managed to escape without injuries. The fire started after the landing gear on the plane collapsed. Most of the damage was on the outside of the plane near the left wing. The interior of the plane did not appear to be damaged. The plane was carrying shipments of mail.

It was initially very startling to hear of this aircraft catching on fire. We all know how important our FedEx packages are. Luckily, no packages were harmed during the fire...and no people were hurt either.
This is a warning to be safe and careful when dealing with aircrafts and FedEx needs to check all there aircrafts to ensure the safety of the pilots, packages and everyone else.
