Scientists have created a plant that  can detect bombs. This plant was made to pick up chemicals which are found in landmines. To read the plants they shine a laser on the leafs, which is seen with a small infrared camera. The plants created can utilized for defense applications, and,"to monitor public spaces for terrorism related activities," said Prof Strano. This plant can emit a signal from about meter away from the plant.

This article was very interesting, though I didn't understand some of the scientific vocabulary. Also, there was about 1 misspelling error, but it was all an overall very informational article.

  2. This is amazing, I knew you could breed plants and vegetables to make them taste batter and look different. But I had no idea you could make plants to detect bombs! This will be very helpful in security/antiterrorism protection.
