Janette Davalos:: Hurricane Matthew

Analysis: I feel grief for everybody who lost family members in this tragedy and hope that we can recover from this natural disaster. I knew that people were predicting a really bad hurricane but I feel like officials don't take warnings serious enough to take immediate measures. Many officials didn't do anything until something severe actually happen. I hope America gets their life together and will do better next time.

Summary: On October the 8th it was reported by ABC News that death toll of Hurricane Matthew raised to 9. I feel bad for the 9 people that passed in this chaotic storm. It is said that the Hurricane Matthew touched down in South Carolina at about 11AM with winds up to 75mph. Moreover, it left about 1 million houses/buildings left without power that day.

  1. I wish people were better prepared for this hurricane and evacuated earlier from the places that were hit. I hope there will be no more deaths and that people will be better prepared next time.

  2. I too wish that the people had evacuated sooner, especially when the mayor ordered an evacuation of the area ASAP. I am sorry for the casualty's families and for the people who have lost their homes as well.
