"canada quake triggers hawaii tsunami" by Sophie Goetzmann

There was a recent earthquake in Canada that caused Hawaii to have a tsunami warning. There were even sirens that went off as a tsunami warning this weekend. The signs were telling everyone to get to higher ground. They were expecting the wave to be 3 to 5 feet above ambient sea level but the largest wave recorded was 2.5. The warning was cancelled in Hawaii at 1 pm. About 80,000  people in Hawaii live in evacuation zones and there so there was a ton of traffic when trying to get to higher ground.

  1. I've been to Hawaii before, and I saw a lot of sirens that look like the tornado sirens we have here in Texas. I later found out they are tsunami sirens.
