Congress in Urarguay has leagalized abortion for all women and is drawing up plans to sell government grown marijuana. These two measures are a huge deal because all other countrys produces pot just for drug users to enjoy. Pot is getting Uraguay 30 million dollars worth of business in their country. Letting all women have abortions causes controversy among people but nothing has gone into affect to change it.

This was written today so the news is up to date. I think that both of the decisions made in Uraguay are really dumb. Pot shouldn't be legal because it ruins peoples life and I dont think women should get abortions because if they decide to get pregnant, they need to know what comes with it.
wow! I think this shows a lot of the differences between our countries, I'm really suprised that no one has protested or tried to change this.
ReplyDeleteThey probably legalized the marijuana because it makes so much money for the country! Maybe citizens of Uruguay take marijuana often, and the government knew it, so they decided to make the most of it. As for legalizing abortion, I feel like there should be limitations-in the cases of rape, incest, etc. It is very interesting to view the different mindsets of different cultures.
