Cuba Releases Message from Fidel Castro by Sylvie Lednicky

This Tuesday, Cuba released a message from Fidel Castro in which he congratulated doctors who graduated from a Cuban medical institide on the day of its founding. He also mentioned the 50th anniversery of the Cuban missile crisis and the anniversery of when all of Cuba's doctors left. Also on Tuesday, Cuba lifted some of it's traveling bans. People thought that Castro was ill again or maybe dead, but his family claims that this is not true. He hasn't been seen since March in public photos. Castro never completely recovered from an undisclosed intestinal illness surgery that wasn't done well. I don't understand why a ruler with his country's best interest at heart wouldn't give up his position when he could no longer give the people what they need. Castro must not care about Cuba at all.
