How Lance Armstrong Lost his Medals by Graysha Assoun

Lance Armstrong had his seven consecutive medals from the Tour de France revoked. Everyone knew that he wa an amazing athlete. He was known to be a god or a hero. Even when he got testicular cancer in 2000, he made a incrediblly fast recovery. That was when he was known as a legend. He gave hope to millions across the world. Then, a horrible secret was unfolded. He was found with an extroadinary amount of dope. The United States Anti-Doping Agency found the test positive for a banned substance in his first year in 1999. Lance Armstrong denied saying it was cream for saddle sores, yet there were suspicions. There were many witnesses confirming Armstrong doping during his 7 years of fame. Consequently, Lance Armstrong was stripped away of his 7 consecutive medals and even his bronze medal in the Olympics. Armstrong has been forced to step down from his big titles from 1999 till 2005.
Even though he has been shamed. He is putting on a brave face and talking to his supporters:" I've been better, but I've been a lot worse." This is an important story because it shows how one mistake could ruin an entire career or success for many years.
